Food & Drink
Dining an evening entertainment
Argentine cuisine is described as a cultural blending of Mediterranean influences brought by the Spanish during the colonial period and, later, by the Italian settlers.
The people of Argentina have a reputation for their love of food. Gatherings are frequently focused on sharing a meal. In general, invitations to dinner at home are regarded as a symbol of friendship, warmth, and integration. Sunday family lunch is regarded as the most important meal of the week, with asado or pasta frequently featured.
Another distinguishing feature of Argentine cuisine is the preparation of homemade foods such as french fries, patties, and pasta to honour a special occasion, meet friends, or honour someone. Homemade food is also regarded as a means of expressing affection.
Vaccinations
Yes, some vaccinations are advised or required for Argentina. Argentina’s National Travel Health Network and Centre, as well as the World Health Organization, recommend the following vaccinations: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, and tetanus.
